Sons and Daughters of the Incarcerated is produced in association with Shine Global Inc and Chicken and Egg Pictures. The film is supported by the LEF Foundation and participated in IFP Spotlight on Documentaries in 2016.
The film could not be made without the incredible support of the Rhode Island Department of Corrections, their initiatives to support kids' relationships with their incarcerated parents and the access they provided us to be able to tell these stories more fully.
Our closest non-profit organizational partners include The Osborne Association, Rhode Islanders Sponsoring Education (RISE) and Star Kids. We are also collaborating with Children of Promise, AS220 Youth, The Institute for the Study and Practice of Nonviolence, and the Everett Company Stage School, as well as the District Attorney's office in New York City.
As we move into planning the distribution for the film, we are looking to engage with organizations across the country to develop an outreach campaign that is far-reaching and impactful. If you have an organization and would like to speak about collaborating or bringing the film to your city, please contact us!
